Hi, I'm Franziska! Rooted Abroad grew out of my own life between places.
I come from a migration background, live in Norway, have roots in Greece, and move regularly between countries. Over time, I have lived and worked across different languages and cultural contexts. Some languages I speak fluently, others imperfectly. What matters to me is not mastery, but relationship.
Living between cultures has shown me how deeply context shapes how we think, relate, make decisions, and understand ourselves. Even when we are open and experienced, transitions can be subtle and challenging. They affect identity, confidence, and our sense of home.
I am an HR professional and organizational coach with over ten years of experience in international and agile work environments. My coaching is informed by organizational psychology, systems thinking, and lived cross cultural experience.
I work with consent, transparency, and honest reflection. We slow things down enough to understand what is happening beneath the surface and move at a pace that respects your nervous system and your real life constraints.
Rooted Abroad is for people who want to build belonging without losing parts of themselves in the process.
Whether you are planning a move, in the middle of transition, or have been living abroad for years and want to feel more grounded again — there is a way to work together that fits where you are.

Restless Lines is written for people who live between cultures — expats, third culture kids, digital nomads, and cultural nomads. The essays explore roots, transitions, identity, and what it means to belong without standing still. I am committed to publishing regularly, but sometimes words come more easily than others.
